A FUTURE FOR OUR CHILDREN
is a project that commenced
in 2005 and was initially supported
by
RE:
FINE OSI – Re-sourcing Education: Fund for Innovations and Networking.
Open Society Institute.
Starting 2007 the project continues due to the contribution of the
Services for Development Fund of Lichtenstein
(LIECHTENSTEINISCHER
ENTWICKLUNGS-DIENST),
which has chosen to further support activities aiming at making easy
social integration of children in hardship in our country, especially for
youngsters from disintegrated families.

PROJECT'S GOAL
Ensuring a better social integration and
building school success of children from disintegrated families, who
lack parental care.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
1. Improvement
of the form masters professional skills from ATU Gagauzia (Autonomous
Territorial Unit Gagauzia) and Taraclia region, in order to guide
children from disintegrated families towards constructive social
insertion.
2. Development of the professional
compe-tences of main specialists, responsible for education sector and
vice-directors for educational activities from schools from 35 Rayon
General Education Departments and 3 municipalities from the republic.
3. Development of didactic materials for
supporting the activity of form masters.
4. Dissemination at the national level of
the information and developed materials that reflect different aspects
of the situation of children in hardships.

Organizing the workshop Practical recommendations on usage of I'M
LEARNING TO BE guide for education vice directors from schools
• Implementation of 38 methodic seminars with participation of 1301
specialists
• Further dissemination of the information to about 1500 schools from the
republic
• Distribution in every schools from the country of the guide I'M LEARNING
TO BE in about 2000 of copies
- October 2007 - May 2008
Implementation of the Scholarship Program for form masters
• Professional development of 126 form masters from ATU Gagauzia and
Taraclia rayon schools
• Certification of 120 teachers who parti-cipated within the Scholarship
Program
• Didactic support for all 120 teachers by offering a donation of the
operational guide I'M LEARNING TO BE
• Methodological consultancy to the schools involved in the project, via 20
site visits

• Organizing 3 workshops for elaboration of the concept, structure, contents
and design of the books

additional issues CITIND, ÎNVĂŢ SĂ FIU and ЧИТАЮ И УЧУСЬ БЫТЬ (I'M
LEARNING TO BE through reading)
• Publishing of the guide in about 3500 copies in Romanian and 1000 copies
in Russian. Distribution of the guide to a number of about 1500 schools from
all 35 rayons and 3 municipalities from the republic

Creating and maintaining an informational framework for the project
activities
• Keeping up to date the site A future for our children in 3 languages:
Romanian, Russian and English
• Placing the information and materials about the project's current
development on 8 rubrics: Events, Photo Gallery, Teacher's Page, Pupil's
Page, Useful links, Magic metaphors, Experiences and Suggestions
• Publishing in the permanent column in Didactica Pro… magazine a number of
about 20 articles approaching different aspects of the children in
hardships/who lack parental care
• Publishing in December 2007 of a speci-alized issue of Didactica Pro...
magazine entitled HOME ALONE in 1500 copies

Organizing the Concluding Conference for experiences dissemi-nation and
inviting representatives of different international and local organizations
interested in the situation of children from the Republic of Moldova
