THE NEEDS ASSESSMENT IN VET ICT PROJECT CONTINUES

VET_FG_copIn the context of the needs assessment within the project “Advancing quality in ICT vocational education in Moldova “1, a team of sociologists, with advanced experience in the field, applied research tools to identify the current needs of vocational-technical education institutions that prepare workers and specialists in ICT.
 

It have been already completed and processed about 300 questionnaires; were conducted a series of focus groups among teachers and students who graduate this year institutions. Also it were interviewed representatives of two higher education institutions and representatives of ICT companies. This needs analysis process will conclude with a report which will include quantitative and qualitative research results, conclusions and recommendations to improve quality in ICT vocational education.

Parallel with needs assessment process it were conducted other project activities. Thus, on April 9, at the Educational Center PRO DIDACTICA, held the second meeting of the Working Group, which topic was “Identifying training needs and expectations of the curriculum developers”. This meeting was attended by representatives of 6 ICT VET institutions involved in the project; Iurie Mocanu, Ministry of  Education; Anatol Gremalschi and Viorica Postica consultants; project coordinators.
