SIX PARENTS ASSOCIATIONS HAVE IMPLEMENTED LOCAL PROJECTS FOR STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

Tuesday, June 25 this year, at 10.00, within the Educational Centre PRO DIDACTICA, 13 Armeneasca Street, will be held the Final Conference of the project “Strengthening local NGOs through community partnerships”, performed by the generous support of the American people through State Department. Goal of the project is to strengthen local NGOs (associations of parents) by initiating community partnerships in rural areas.

Objectives are focused on raising community actors need to develop local partnerships and strengthen the capacity of teams of 6 local NGOs (associations of parents) by initiating and maintaining partnerships; solving community problems in 6 locations, involving partners identified educational intervention projects.

The members of six rural NGOs (associations of parents), selected by competition, were trained in developing and implementing educational projects of intervention, the exchange of experience. Each NGO received a grant of U.S. $ 1000, required for a local project to address specific problems faced by parents and school association. These were: AO Veghetorul, Agronomovca, Ungheni Unţeşti AOPP, Ungheni AO Paladium, Voloviţa, Soroca APP Ulm, Ialoveni AO Speranţa, Cuşmirca, Şoldăneşti; AO Generatia Noua Zirnesti, Cahul. We gave priority to issues related to supporting children from socially vulnerable families, and among project beneficiaries were children, parents, school / community as a whole. Associations of parents involved in schools opened a day centre for children and parents, doted it with furniture, equipment, literature and other teaching materials necessary for leisure occupations of beneficiaries, including their social and pedagogical support. The immediate impact of the project activities is one of recovery and qualitative participation of parents in school life, avoiding the traditional financial contributions

The ceremony will culminate with the launch of the book with success stories from the project “ The initiatives to strengthen community partnerships”, published in an edition of 400 samples, which will be donated to school libraries, to promote changes in initiating and maintaining quality educational partnerships the community.
