CRITICAL THINKING METHODOLOGY INCORPORATION INTO SCHOOL CURRICULUM. DECEMBER 2009–FEBRUARY 2010 ACTIVITIES

Within the “Integration of the critical thinking development methodologies into the renovated version of the National Curriculum for pre-university education in Republic of Moldova” project, there were several activities organized by February 4th, 2010.

  • Analysis of the curricular documents from 2006 and analysis of the new curricular drafts under development within the Ministry of Education project, which have been proposed for public discussion and identification of gaps in terms of incorporation of principles of critical thinking development within the methodological component of the curriculum; (December 2009 -January 2010);

  • On February 4th, we organized the round table with representatives of the curriculum working groups, were we have presented and discussed the suggestions for incorporation of critical thinking development principles into the curricular documents within the component « Didactic strategies : general methodological guidelines » of the renovated curriculum , as well as a variety of issues connected to the process of curriculum development.
  • The Ministry of Education has forwarded Pro Didactica report and recommendations to all the working groups, for examination and incorporation into the curricular documents (expected to be ready by March 20, 2010).
