Between October 26-28, 20 teachers from the beneficiary institutions of the European Union project “DevRAM”, Part I, but also from other technical vocational education institutions with agricultural profile in the republic participated in an online seminar entitled “Agriculture ecological ”, organized by the PRO DIDACTICA Educational Center. The activity comes to complete the series of actions of the project that involve the implementation in technical vocational education, for about 25 trades and specialties, level 3-4 CNCRM, of a new discipline  ̶ “Organic farming”, aimed at professional training of future skilled workers, technicians, agronomists and other categories of specialists.

In a first stage being elaborated the package of curricular materials, Ina Griza, the coordinator of the group of authors, presented, at the beginning of the training, the findings made based on a questionnaire applied to specialized teachers on newly designed products. The questionnaire aimed to establish the trades / specialties in which the curriculum will be integrated, the competencies to be covered by the curricula, the modules / learning units / contents that will be included according to the profession / specialty, but also the estimated planning. of the semester / year of studies, the analysis of the correspondence of the needs of the sector in terms of specific professional competences, for the subsequent improvement of the quality of the respective documents.

The training sessions, conducted in an interactive manner, with elements of interdisciplinarity, aimed to bring to the audience the latest information in the field: “Pollution of soils and waters with nutrients from agriculture”; “Measures to combat nutrient pollution”; “Chemical and organic fertilizers. Ecological and economic benefits from the application of local organic fertilizers ”; “The influence of chemical and organic fertilizers on natural water quality”; “Rationalization and optimization of the use of organic fertilizers”; “Promoting agricultural practices and organic farming”; “Soil irrigation: necessity and consequences”; “Protection and management of soil fertility in the Republic of Moldova”; “Measures to improve soil quality”.

During the three days of training, the students received a lot of information on the topic, presented in the form of a lecture. It was accompanied by countless “active” interventions, to perform tasks, but also homework, various in their content, including the use of teaching tools for the development of critical thinking. The reaction of those present was constructive and responsible, of full involvement, as evidenced by the attitude shown throughout the activity and the products presented.

Jamboard platform, Cinquain technique (having as “source of inspiration” the issue of pollution), case studies, questionnaires, etc. ̶ are just some of the tools used by the two formators, Valeriu Gorincioi and Igor Povar, who subordinated the message of the activity to a thought of Albert Einstein: “God does not play dice with the Universe”, paraphrased as follows: “God does not play dice with earth “

In a short time, the discipline “Organic Agriculture” will become part of the technical vocational education, bringing in the “arsenal” of training specialists for the agri-food sector in the Republic of Moldova a new vision.
