The Safe Space for Women and Girls, set up this summer at the Municipal Centre for Adult Learning and Education (CMIEA) with the support of the ‘Initiative to Support Refugees’ project, is attracting an increasing number of people keen to develop personally and professionally, as well as to spend their free time in a meaningful way.

As an integrated support platform for women, girls and other beneficiary groups in Chișinău, as well as for refugees from Ukraine who have settled in the capital, it offers psychosocial support, information and specialised services for the prevention of and response to gender-based violence. The Safe Space focuses on:

psychological counselling;
digital skills;
life skills;
soft skills for employment and career development;
fashion design and dressmaking;
relaxation and socialisation activities.

Participation in the activities of the Safe Space for Women and Girls is free of charge. Anyone interested in joining future workshops or benefiting from the services offered is invited to become part of the CMIEA community.

The ‘Initiative to Support Refugees’ project is being implemented by the PRO DIDACTICA Educational Centre, in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), as part of the Humanitarian Response in the Republic of Moldova.
