WORKSHOP “LAUNCHING THE PARTNERSHIP WITH VET INSTITUTIONS WITH AGRICULTURAL PROFILE”
The European Union project “DevRAM”. Part I. “Increasing the competitiveness of the agri-food sector by integrating it into internal and global values, especially in the soybean culture”, implemented by the Austrian Development Cooperation, in partnership with the Educational Center PRO DIDACTICA and Donau Soja, completed its portfolio with a new activity.
The Workshop “Launching the Partnership with Technical Vocational Education Institutions with Agricultural Profile”, held on 2 July, was made up of directors and students from the 7 beneficiary educational units – the Center for Excellence in Horticulture and Agricultural Technologies in Ţăul, the Center of Excellence in Services and Food Processing in Balti, Agricultural Technical College of Svetlii, Agroindustrial College of Ungheni, Agroindustrial College in Riscani, Professional School in Bubuieci, the College of Viticulture and Wine Making in Stauceni.
The objective of the event – starting a fruitful collaboration between the centers of excellence, colleges and professional schools in the project, as well as creating the community for agricultural education in the Republic of Moldova – promoting the effort to strengthen the institutional capacity, to adapt the educational offer to the demand of the labor market, a favorable environment for the implementation of quality standards in the agri-food sector, alignment of policy documents with the EU, etc.
The event’s agenda included a round of presentations (Lilia Nahaba, project coordinator and Daniela Preaşca, project manager), aiming at familiarizing the participants with the specific objectives, expected outputs and outcomes within the context of agricultural education in the Republic of Moldova.
Another working session moderated by Rima Bezede, Project Director, involved the analysis of the state of the institutions, identification of the sensitive issues to be remedied or optimized and the financial or methodological support, so necessary for further development and direction of actions needed to be revised, adjusted, reconfigured.
The participants argued the intention / interest of the institution they represented for involvement in the project, their strong and weak points, etc. – to identify the steps to be taken forward, for a common understanding on the future partnership offering the opportunity for teachers and managers to get training courses, curricula and updated programs, communication strategies and image enhancement, exchange of national and international best practices, etc.
Finally, by signing collaboration agreements, representatives of C.E. PRO DIDACTICA and the pilot institutions have committed themselves to actively engaging, supporting and facilitating the achievement of the DevRAM project objectives.
Project “DevRAM”. Part I. “Increasing the competitiveness of the agri-food sector by integrating it into internal and global values, especially in the soybean culture” implemented by the Austrian Development Cooperation in partnership with the Educational Center PRO DIDACTICA and Donau Soja with the financial support of the European Union, aims to contribute to increasing the capacity of the sector to assert on the internal and external market and to strengthen the capacity of the institutions of technical vocational education in the agri-food sector and to complement the Moldovan component within the Regional Strategic Partnership between the Austrian Development Cooperation and Donau Soja, which supports the building of sustainable and inclusive values for organic and GMO soybean in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Moldova and Ukraine.
