FOLLOW-UP ACTIVITY. TRAINING PROGRAM FOR TEACHERS WHO WORK WITH CHILDREN FROM SOCIALLY VULNERABLE FAMILIES
On May 6th, at Educational Centre PRO DIDACTICA, took place a follow-up activity for teachers, who have participated during the month of March 2011 in a Training program for teachers who work with children from socially vulnerable families within the project School Communities in Action: Creating conditions for children from socially vulnerable families to stay in school. There were two teachers invited from each institution involved. During the follow-up sessions they presented their homework, the successes and problems they overcame.
Participants noted that activities undertaken in the schools have contributed to increase the children’s self-esteem and also influenced a change in the attitude towards themselves and towards others. This activity was attended by representative of the Open Society Institute in Budapest – Yoon Durbin, international consultant on the project.
