On March 27 ended the trainings of local trainers in the subcomponent “Methodological training for lyceum teachers” within the project “Quality Education in Rural Areas of Moldova”. It was attended by 785 teachers from lyceums, including Chiefs of Methodological Centers from all 35 rayons.
Training activities were conducted by a team of national trainers, who have implemented a 24-hours activity, which included a variety of topics such as: Management of the lesson in terms of quality assurance perspective; Developing critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity; Interdisciplinary approach to the study material; Interactive methods and educational strategies focused on training and assessment of students’ competences; Student centered teaching methods; Competence based assessment and involvement of students in autonomous learning and self-evaluation; Criteria for issuing of optional courses in lyceum.
Teachers involved in the training have appreciated the impact on their professional development and mentioned the necessity and usefulness of seminars. A relevant quality indicator is the 100% attendance of the participants at the activities.
Participants received a training course support, which contains both the theoretical parts as well as worksheets for practical activities. To conduct training activities in the site, each local trainer received a CD with electronic version of training materials and other useful information.
The training program for all lyceums teachers from Moldova will run till May 10.
