The duration of the project will be one year until April 2019, addressing pupils aged between 15 and 18 years who study Civic Education and / or optional discipline “European Integration for You”. This initiative promotes activities to prevent and eradicate corruption in the state by educating conscientious, critical and responsible citizens, by implementing anti-corruption education in secondary education.

The objectives of the project include: To develop anticorruption education module and test it with teachers, implementing course “Education for EU integration“; To develop learning materials for students; To develop dissemination channels and in-country support network in this respect. The target groups of our intervention will be school teachers of the “European Integration for You” course and the students involved; as direct beneficiaries will be the AO EC PRO DIDACTICA and the educational community in Moldova, and as indirect beneficiaries – other NGOs and state institutions responsible for preventing corruption, etc.

This module will complement the school curriculum “European integration for you” as well as the curriculum of Civic Education and guidance, and will be made available to users in digital format. The module will support the implementation of anti-corruption activities at state level, thus helping the National Anticorruption Center to implement its action plan on eradicating the anti-corruption phenomenon. During the visit, the Lithuanian expert met the project team, the project experts Eugenia NEGRU and Rodica ESANU, who debated the concept and the expected results of the project, with an emphasis on promoting good practices inspired by the Baltic countries. Also, two educational institutions from the capital were visited, who will be involved in the future project: TL “Prometheu-Prim” and TL “Aristotel”. The guest was impressed by the interest and the openness of the teaching staff and of the administration and by the motivation of the pupils for studying and applying good practices for the uprooting of the corruption phenomenon at various levels.

We concluded on the importance of this investment in human resources and in the development of teaching materials that will remain in the system and will perpetuate the impact of successful experiences that will contribute to building a democratic society, governed transparently, with involved and honest citizens.
