At the beginning of May 2017, at the EC PRO DIDACTICA, another 19 teachers from various school subjects benefited from a unique training program in the field of OER. Objectives achieved:  the development of digital competences, including OERs’ harnessing and development, updating ICT knowledge on the use of electronic resources in the educational process, and motivation of trainees to develop OER and dissemination of the experience gained.

1. Background

Since its independence, the Republic of Moldova economy has suffered from a lack of efficiency, partly due to serious decline in quality of education. The Education Strategy 2020, adopted in 2014, sets out as main priorities for the Government improving the quality, relevance and efficiency of the education system. The Vocational Education Strategy 2013-2020, adopted in 2013, is the main policy document in the field vocational/technical education, that aims by 2020 that VET will become more attractive, quality, relevant for the labor market, accessible, career oriented, flexible, allowing nonformal and informal learning validation and mobility in the European space in line with Copenhagen Process and Bruges Communique provisions.

RESULTS FOR THE CONTEST “OPEN EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES: HERE AND NOW” – PHASE II

On 17 of November 2017, at the closing conference of the project „Open Education in Moldova: here and now!” – phase II, the Educational Center PRO DIDACTICA presented the results from the contest on developing the open educational resources (OER), evaluated by an independent jury of experts. The competition period was from May to September 2017, the target group being the pupils, students, teachers, researchers interested in developing and applying OER (open educational resources) in the educational process in educational institutions from the Republic of Moldova.
